On the payment screen, Room is one of the tenders. Look up the guest, confirm the room, and the check posts to their folio in the PMS with a guest-facing receipt.
Room charges go into a posting queue and retry. The check closes for the guest; the folio catches up. Nothing is lost and nothing has to be re-keyed.
Breakfast room, pool bar, beach grill, lobby bar: one system, one login, with routing and reports per outlet. A guest’s tab can follow them from the pool to dinner.
Price in the local currency, show the guest the total in dollars or euros at live rates, and post to the folio in the currency the PMS is set to. The conversion is recorded on the check.
